1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

  1. Inspect the VSV resistance.

    		Component without harness connected
    (No. 1 Vacuum Switching Valve)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:
      Tester Connection
      		Condition
      		Specified Condition
      1 - 2
      		20°C (68°F)
      		33 to 39 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

  1. Check VSV operation.

    1. Check that air does not flow from the port as shown in the illustration.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

    3. Check that air flows from the port as shown in the illustration.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.
